Graduate Performance Engineer

Location: Stansted Airport

Reports to: Performance Manager/Cheif Pilot

Seeking:
Graduates of Aeronautics, Engineering, Mathematics. We have a unique opportunity for an exceptional candidate to join the world's favourite airline, Ryanair, as a Graduate Performance Engineer. Ryanair operates more than 1,500 flights per day from over 50 bases and 1,400 low fare routes across 28 countries, connecting over 165 destinations. We operate a fleet of 290 new Boeing 737-800 aircraft with firm orders for a further 21 new aircraft (before taking account of planned disposals), which will be delivered over the next year. Regulated by the Irish Aviation Authority, Ryanair currently has a team of more than 8,500 people and expects to carry 75 million passengers in the current fiscal year.

Location:
Based in Stansted Airport, you will be part of a small performance engineering team reporting directly to the Performance Manager/Chief Pilot in the Dublin head office. You will receive full training and also be paid a competitive salary and annual performance related bonus. You will also qualify for discounted travel throughout the Ryanair network.

Duties Include:

It is expected that upon completion of this programme you will have developed the necessary skills and experience to become an integral member of the performance engineering team. For the duration of the 2 year graduate programme you will provide assistance to the performance engineering team including:
  • Airport/runway obstacle analysis to determine optimum takeoff/landing performance for all RYR current & potential destinations/alternates.
  • Initial evaluation of new/potential airports to advise the Commercial Department on the operational viability.
  • Airport Categorisation and airport visits as required.
  • Preparation & revision of airfield briefing documentation.
  • Monitoring of AIP & Jeppesen publications for changes to airfield data.
  • Control & revision of the Ryanair Performance Manual, Load Control Manual & Ryanair Loading Schedule (load sheet).
  • Publish & maintain data in accordance with Ryanair Fleet Weight program.
  • Respond & provide feedback to crew on all performance & load control related issues encountered during line ops.
  • Analysis of all potential new routes.

Experience and Qualifications:

the successful candidate for this 2 year graduate programme must be a quick learner, with the confidence and ability to succeed in a highly pressured environment.
