How do I advise Ryanair of my condition or request special assistance?


In accordance with our safety limitation and to ensure that Ryanair are pre-advised of your condition and/or your special assistance request we have listed below the assistance options available. You can book this assistance either at the time of online booking (not oxygen) or by calling the Ryanair Special Assistance Line.

Option 1: (CODE: NWCR) Passenger who requires the use of an airport wheelchair: and to be pushed through the airport terminal to the steps of the aircraft.

Option 2: (CODE: NWCC) Passenger who requires the use of an airport wheelchair: and to be pushed through the airport terminal to the steps of the aircraft and also requires lift on/lift off assistance onto and off the aircraft.

Option 3: (CODE: NWCP) Passenger who requires the use of an airport wheelchair only: but does not require to be pushed by airport staff

Option 4: (CODE: NWCS) Passenger not traveling in a wheelchair: that requires no assistance through the airport to the aircraft but does require lift on / lift off assistance onto the aircraft.

Option 5: (CODE: WCHR) Passenger travelling in their own wheelchair: that only requires to be pushed through the airport terminal to aircraft steps.

Option 6: (CODE: WCHC) Passenger travelling in their own wheelchair: that requires to be pushed through the airport terminal to aircraft steps and also require lift on/ lift off assistance onto the aircraft.

Option 7:(CODE: WCHS) Passenger travelling in their own wheelchair: that does not require to be pushed through the airport terminal to the aircraft steps, but does require lift on/lift off assistance onto and off the aircraft.

Option 8: (CODE: WCHP) Passenger travelling in their own wheelchair: that requires no assistance at all from airport staff.

Option 9: (CODE: BLDR) Blind or vision impaired passenger travelling alone without a sighted (adult – over 16) companion: that requires a walker to and from the terminal to the aircraft.

Option 10: (CODE: BDGR) Blind or vision impaired passenger travelling with a guide/assistance dog and requires a walker to and from the terminal to the aircraft.

Option 11:(CODE: BLDP) Blind or vision impaired passenger travelling alone without a sighted (adult – over 16) companion and requires no assistance.

Option 12: (CODE: BDGP) Blind or vision impaired passenger travelling with a guide/assistance dog and requires no assistance.

Option 13: (CODE: BLSC) Blind or vision impaired passenger travelling with a sighted (adult – over 16) companion and requires no assistance.

Option 14: (CODE: DMAA): Passenger with an *intellectual disability: who is able to understand and respond appropriately to safety instructions and does not require a (adult) personal care attendant, but does require a walker to and from the terminal to the aircraft.

Option 15 (CODE: DEAF): Passenger who is profoundly deaf who requires a separate briefing from the cabin crew regarding safety procedures.

Option 16 (CODE: OXY): Passenger who requires Ryanair to provide oxygen for use during the flight this service must be pre-booked by calling the Ryanair Special Assistance Line at the latest 7 days prior to travel.

If therapeutic oxygen is required for use during the flight it must be pre-booked by calling the Ryanair Special Assistance Line preferably on the same day as the flight booking is made or at the latest 7 days prior to travel.

N.B. Passengers requiring oxygen must carry a letter in English from their doctor (dated within 2 weeks of intended date of travel) which specifically confirms that:

  1. They are fit to travel
  2. They do not require a continuous supply of oxygen for more than 120 minutes at high flow or 240 minutes at the low flow rate.
  3. The therapeutic oxygen at flow rate provided is suitable for the passenger needs

Passengers will not be accepted for travel without this letter.
