Litigation specialised solicitor

Location: Dublin Airport

Reports to: Company Secretary & Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs

Ryanair operates a fleet of almost 300 Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Regulated by the Irish Aviation Authority, Ryanair currently has a team of more than 8,500 people and expects to carry 79 million passengers in the current fiscal year.

Ryanair's Legal & Regulatory Affairs Department deals with a wide range of legal and regulatory issues, both at the national and European levels. The Department is also responsible for Company Secretarial duties.

The Legal & Regulatory Affairs Department is now offering a full time position to a litigation specialised solicitor with 3 to 5 years PQE.

Duties Include:

- Manage high-profile litigation in Ireland and other European jurisdictions;
- Draft and review legal briefs and correspondence;
- Interact with and manage outside counsel.

Experience and Qualifications:

- At least 2-3 years of litigation experience at high court level;
- Excellent organisational and communication skills;
- The ability to learn quickly and show initiative;
- Excellent drafting and legal writing skills;
- Fluency in English.

The following, while not essential, will be an advantage:
- Knowledge of one of the major European languages in addition to English;
- Familiarity with IT/IP law and with the Internet;
- Knowledge of the aviation and travel industries and latest trends in e-commerce.
