Payroll Administrator

Location: Dublin Airport

Reports to: Payroll Manager

Duties Include:

  • Update fixed pay elements in relation to salary changes for movements within the Company and calculate back pay where applicable
  • Input fixed pay elements and apply Tax/PRSI details for new starters
  • Calculate final pay for leavers and issue P45s and Income Levy Certificates
  • Prepare and process spreadsheets for variable payments/deductions including sick leave, overtime, incentives etc.
  • Download and process tax certificates from ROS
  • Register new starters and leavers via ROS i.e P45s. P46s
  • Answer telephone and written queries concerning a variety of Payroll, Pension, Tax and Social Welfare issues
  • Month end processes including printing and distribution of payslips
  • Requisition and dispensing of Third Party cheques i.e. Collector General (PAYE), VHI, Pension etc.
  • Year end reporting and distribution of P60s and Income Levy Certs
  • Maintain controls over all documentation and processes in line with SOX requirements

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Ideally 1-2 years experience working in payroll specifically dealing with Irish Legislation
  • Proven computer skills including Excel and Word
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are prerequisite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Sense of responsibility, initiative and high quality work standards
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in Payroll with an intention to pursue a payroll qualification with IPASS
  • Experience using Resource Link and ROS an advantage but not essential
  • Flexibility to work outside normal office hours when required
  • Strong team player with a willingness to learn
