3 Cars Given To Lucky Winners After Print Error On Ryanair Scratchcards

 
CAR WINNING €2 SCRATCHCARDS MAY STILL BE AVAILABLE
 
Ryanair, the world’s favourite airline, today (28th Apr) presented cars to 3 lucky winners, who each won a car worth over €13,000 after buying a Ryanair €2 scratchcard on a flight from Milan to Madrid on 20th April last.
 
Earlier this month Ryanair launched an enquiry into how a printing error caused 3 free cars to be won on one single Ryanair flight, when Ryanair generally releases one car winning scratchcard each month. Ryanair admitted that it doesn’t know if there are any other printing errors among its €2 scratchcards which will be on sale on board Ryanair flights until the end of June.
 
Ryanair and Brandforce (the company which runs Ryanair’s €2 scratchcard game) confirmed they will honour all car winners despite this printing error.
 
In Madrid today Michael O’ Leary was in tears as he handed over the keys to 3 free cars to Ms Marta Garcia & Mr Roberto Saiz (Madrid), Mr Christopher Hueso (Madrid) and Mr Samuel Urrutia (Viscaya).
 
Speaking in Madrid, Ryanair’s Michael O’Leary said:
 
“Every passenger is a winner with Ryanair’s guaranteed lowest fares and our great value €2 scratchcards help them to win multiple free cars. While the normal rate of car winners is one per month a printing error resulted in three cars being won on just one flight to Madrid in April.
 
We are delighted for these three passengers and wish each of them many years of happy motoring in their fantastic FIAT 500s which are worth over €13,000 each, but cost them just €2.
 
We don’t know how many more printing errors there are in the current print run of €2 scratchcards which will be on board Ryanair flights until the end of June 2011. So there could be more multiple car winners on Ryanair flights in May and June, but we sincerely hope not. We don’t mind giving away one free car each month, but three free cars on one flight is far too generous – even for Ryanair.  However, despite this stupid printing error Ryanair and Brandforce will honour all €2 scratchcard car winners no matter how many we suffer over the next two months.”
