Every Airport’s Worst Nightmare – 50 Michael O’Learys
IRISH FLASHMOB HELPS RYANAIR OPEN MANCHESTER BASE
Ryanair, the world’s favourite airline, officially opened its Manchester base with the help of an Irish ‘flashmob’ of 50 Michael O’Learys. The Fit Teens/Fit Kids dance group, featuring kids from just seven years of age (from Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Meath and West Meath) lead by founder Jacinta Cassidy (from Mornington Co Meath).
The group surprised passengers and airport workers by breaking into a five minute dance routine at the airports check-in desks – culminating with all 50 wearing Michael O’Leary masks – to gasps of horror from rival airlines.
A video of the performance can be viewed on Ryanair’s website

Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said
“Ryanair officially opened its Manchester base in great style, with the help of fifty fantastic dancers from the Fit Teens/Fit Kids dance group. Fit Teens/Fit Kids proved that while Ireland’s got talent it also has a great sense of humour with the kids donning Michael O’Leary masks to strike fear into other airlines who will be running scared of the low fares on Ryanair’s 26 Manchester routes.”
