Notice to Cork - Dublin Passengers

WHO NEEDS TRAIN DRIVERS…(OR TRAINS)?
RYANAIR GUARANTEES LOWER PRICES AND NO STRIKES

Ryanair, Ireland’s largest low fares airline, today {23rd May} condemned the latest wildcat train driver strikes which have again disrupted the journeys of thousands of rail passengers on CIE’s high price Cork – Dublin route. This is yet another example of the contempt which the public sector unions have for consumers, and why passengers can’t trust CIE’s high priced, over subsidised train services.

By contrast, Ryanair offers 5 daily flights on the Cork – Dublin route. These flights take just 35 minutes on brand new jet aircraft, at prices which are less than half the cost of CIE’s high fares, and Ryanair guarantees no strikes as well. To highlight the advantages of Ryanair’s 5 daily flights on the Cork – Dublin route the airline has today released 10,000 seats for just €25 one way – less than half CIE’s one way fare of €71.20 – for travel in June, and Ryanair guarantees that these passengers will not be stranded by striking wildcat drivers.

Ryanair’s big Corkman, Michael Cawley said;

“It’s crazy that the people of Cork pay high rail fares to CIE and then get stranded by striking train drivers. Who needs these high priced trains or their overpaid drivers? Passengers on Cork - Dublin can avoid high priced trains and striking drivers by flying Ryanair. We’re faster, cheaper and offer a no strike guarantee. We urge every stranded train passenger to snap up one of these €25 seats for travel in June and prove to CIE that the people of Cork don’t need these stranded trains or their striking wildcat drivers”
