RYANAIR BRINGS FORWARD LAUNCH OF 4 ROUTES FROM NOTTINGHAM EAST MIDLANDS BY 1 MONTH FOLLOWING RECORD BOOKINGS

Ryanair, Europe’s No. 1 low fares airline today (Wednesday, 2nd November 2005) announced that it is bringing forward by 1 month the launch of 4 of its 10 new routes from its recently announced 15th European base at Nottingham East Midlands. The routes from Nottingham East Midlands to Limoges and Bergerac (France) and Wroclaw and Lodz (Poland) will now start from the 8th and 9th of February rather than the 14th and 15th of March as originally announced because of record advance bookings at the Nottingham East Midlands base.

Speaking today, Michael O’Leary, Ryanair’s CEO said:
“In September, when we announced that from the 7th of March, Ryanair would add 10 new routes to our existing 5 at our new base at Nottingham East Midlands Airport, we knew our low fares were going to have a big impact in the East Midlands, but now due to unprecedented advance bookings on our new routes, we have decided to launch 4 of them a month earlier than planned, from the 7th of February.

“In the 12 months starting February 2006, 1.2M passengers will travel on Ryanair’s 15 routes through Nottingham East Midlands airport, enjoying flights that are both 50% cheaper* and less likely to be delayed* as Easyjet’s.

“To celebrate this early route launch at Nottingham East Midlands and beating Easyjet’s weekly punctuality record ever week for 3 years in a row, we are launching a 2 M FREE* seat sale all over Europe on www.ryanair.com from today until midnight of Thursday 10th November.
