Ryanair Increases Gate Bag Fee By €5 From 5 May to Encourage Passengers to Travel Light
Ryanair, the world’s favourite airline, today (21 March) announced an €5 increase in its gate bag fee from €35to €40 from 5 May next to encourage all Ryanair passengers to travel with one FREE 10kg carry on bag which they agree to at the time of booking.
Ryanair’s gate bag fee is avoidable by all passengers who adhere to Ryanair’s one free cabin bag allowance which they agree to at the time of booking.
Ryanair’s Daniel de Carvalho said:
“Ryanair’s one free cabin bag allowance is adhered to by over 99.8% of our passengers who travel light. We hope that this gate bag fee increase from €35 to €40 eliminates forever the few remaining oversized or extra gate bags which are in breach of each passengers agreement with Ryanair at the time of booking. “
