Ryanair Rejects Trailblazers’ False Claims

Ryanair, the world’s favourite airline, today (20 August) rejected the absurd and false claims by Trailblazers in their news release
 Appended.

1)    Ryanair does not charge disabled customers any extra fees.
2)    Any passengers who require pre-booked oxygen (whether able-bodied or disabled) are asked to pay a fee of €100/ £100 which reflects the cost of providing and servicing this equipment on board.
3)    Clearly this is not a tax on breathing since all passengers are allowed to breathe entirely free of charge on board all Ryanair flights.
4)    Ryanair does not have any weight limit on wheelchairs, all of which are carried entirely free of charge.

Ryanair’s Daniel de Carvalho said:

“Trailblazers’ claims are absurd and false. Ryanair clearly does not charge disabled passengers any extra fees. Since breathing is entirely free on our flights (at least for the time being!!!) there is no truth in Trailblazers’ false claims of a “tax on breathing”. No other airline carries as many disabled passengers as Ryanair. With BA’s average fare more than £200 higher than Ryanair’s (£284 vs £35), BA’s passengers pay for two oxygen bottles every time they fly, regardless if they ever use them or not.”
