• Luz Ardiden: at the crossing of the valleys

  Luz is both a modern high altitude resort and a traditional village. The typical Pyrenean 'Montagnard' style of architecture is everywhere, restored barns, facades in natural stone and timbered beams.
  Here you are at the crossing of two major valleys: Barèges, the Pic du Midi and the Domaine du Tourmalet resort; and Gavarnie a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

• Skiing in Luz Ardiden

  The Luz Ardiden ski area has a total area of 100 hectares (about 2.6 acres) for all levels, beginners' area and snowpark with the AFS label (animated snowpark with public address system, half-pipe, natural modules with bosses and jump, jib area, slalom stadium, mini boardercross).
  Two of the blue runs have a fabulous panorama overlooking the local peaks. Luz has an excellent snow record and has a modern lift system with high speed chairlifts and comprehensive snow-making.
  For skiing fanatic the off-piste descent of Bernazaou accompanied with a mountain guide will be unforgettable

• Spa bath and the Après-ski

  You will find the Luzea Spa centre perfect for relaxing those tired muscles after a hard day's skiing! Turkish bath, jacuzzi, … and customised treatment: massages with heated stones, chocolate or Siam herbal massages…
  After your day on the slopes the pretty village of Luz always has something going on, a merry-go-round, a wealth of bars for your mulled wine or tapas. /div>

  In the village there is a lot on offer: discothèque, night club bars, bowling, artificial climbing wall, via ferrata, adventure park, tennis. For those interested in nature, visit to the Maison du Parc National des Pyrénées...
  To meet the soul of this mountain village visit the Knight Templar church, and have a walk in the typical alleyways.
  On the ski area, children will have fun in the Beginners' space equipped with a ski lift and a marked out and secured toboggan run.
  Kindergartens and snow gardens in the village and in the ski area, welcome children from 18 months old to 12 years old.

  From Lourdes Pyrenees airport: About 50mns drive
  Take N21 towards Lourdes. In Lourdes, continue towards Argelès-Gazost on D821.
  Then continue towards Luz-St-Sauveur/Gavarnie on D913 and D921
