Sestriere

The Commune of Sestriere rises to 2035 meters on the homonym hill astride the Val Chisone and the Valley of Susa to few kilometers from France. Inhabitants: 908 to the 31/12/05 Surface: 2580 hectares Sestriere is constituted by four housing nucleuses: Sestriere Colle, Sestriere Borgata, Champlas du Col e Champlas Janvier. Sestriere is for the tourism international historical destination and point of sure as reference to have been more times chosen as theater of great sporting events what the Championships of the World of Ski in the '97 and the Winter Olympiads in 2006 together with the Paralimpiadis.

Getting There

From Turin airport drive to Turin Tangenziale (Ring road) and follow through to the A32 motorway. Take the A32 to Bardonecchia and exit at Oulx-Sauze. Next take the S.S. 24 to Cesana Torinese followed by the S.S. 23.
