SEO Web Developer

Location: Dublin

Reports to: Head of Advertising

Ryanair is the World's favourite airline with 41 bases and 1000+ low fare routes across 26 countries, connecting 152 destinations. Ryanair operates a fleet of 224 new Boeing 737-800 aircraft with firm orders for a further 90 new aircraft (before taking account of planned disposals), which will be delivered over the next 2.5 years. Ryanair currently has a team of more than 7,000 people and expects to carry approximately 73 million passengers in the current fiscal year.

We are currently recruiting a SEO Web Developer on a 3 month contract. The successful candidate will be energetic and committed, able to work well from his/her own initiative while being an integral part of our team.

Duties Include:

  • Lead role on implementing Ryanair's SEO strategy
  • Hands on SEO/SEM experience
  • Working on day to day content updates on Ryanair.com
  • Making key changes to Ryanair.com on a regular basis
  • Looking at key areas to improve and optimize Ryanair.com
  • Forward development of Ryanair.com
  • Updating of web graphics

Experience and Qualifications:

  • XHTML, PHP, Ajax, Javascript, SQL, CSS, XML
  • Strong Knowledge of SEO practices, Site Architecture, Internal/External Linking
  • Working Knowledge of the Zend Framework and object orientated development
  • Strong knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation coding techniques and trends
  • Experience of working on multi language websites
  • Previous experience of implementing SEO techniques essential
  • Excellent team working and communication skill
  • Knowledge of coding with Dreamweaver
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of & Dreamweaver, Flash, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
  • Unix system basics, FTP, SSH, Telnet an advantage
  • An IT Graduate with 2-3 years experience
