Larnaka town

Lefkara village

A picturesque village famous for its lace and silverware only thirty minutes away from Larnaka.
Legend has it that Leonardo Da Vinci, visited Lefkara and bought an altar cloth of the traditional lace, which he donated to the Cathedral of Milan. The village maintains its traditional architecture with its picturesque stone houses. One can visit the Museum of Folk Art Embroidery & Silverware, the church of the Holy Cross and the Chapel of Archangel Michael.

Lemesos (Limassol)

The second largest town of the island only forty five minutes away from Larnaka. It lies between two ancient city-kingdoms: Amathus on the east and Kourion on the west. Many important antiquities, Byzantine and Frankish monuments are found in Lemesos. Visit Lemesos castle, where Richard the Lionheart married Berengaria of Navarre in 1911, the District Archaeological Museum, the Carob Museum, the ancient site of Kourion, the Sanctuary of Apollo and the Kolossi Medieval Castle, seat of the Knights of the Order of St. John.

Troodos mountains, the green heart of Cyprus

the imposing Troodos Mountains is an hour’s drive away from Larnaka. Its highest peak rises to 1951m above sea level and it stretches across most of the southern and western part of Cyprus. Nestled in the Troodos Mountains are some of the most beautiful hill resorts, Byzantine monasteries and picturesque villages. Ten of its Byzantine period churches are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List and represent real gems of Byzantine art.
