Cheap flights to Brussels, Belgium

Why Brussels

Brussels is a brilliant city break destination, and for lots of different reasons – from the beer, chips and chocolate through to the stunning architecture of the city’s Grand Place, Brussels is a city that does everything well. And in a city that does everything well, it’s hard not to have a great time.

Fly to Brussels for an action-packed weekend, full of everything you could ask for from a city break… culture, art history, food, and fun… all done perfectly.

When to book flights to Brussels

Brussels is a wonderful city break destination at any time of year, so the timing of your trip really depends on what you’re interested in seeing and doing. The busiest season is summer, from the end of May until the beginning of September, and of course this comes with both pros and cons. If you like to see your cities bathed in sunshine, summer is undoubtedly the best time of year to book  flights to Brussels, and Brussels’ gilded baroque buildings do look beautiful in the sunlight…

But Brussels is busy at this time of year too, and you might prefer a little more space to yourself when you visit. If that’s the case, the shoulder seasons (April/May and September/October) are a really god idea. The kids are in school and students in college, so the streets are a little quieter but the weather is still hospitable – and cheap Brussels flights are easier to find off-peak season too. Need a place to stay while you’re in Brussels?  Check out Ryanair Rooms for great value deals on hotels, apartments and places to stay in the city.

What to see in Brussels

Fly to Brussels and prepare for a city break full of art, architecture, amazing food, and of course, the Atomium. Brussels has a huge amount for you to see and do. From visiting the European Parliament, all the way through to eating every speculoos biscuit you can get your paws on while you search for the city’s various peeing statues, Brussels has a little something for everyone.

Book flights to Brussels and you might be expecting a terribly straight-laced and officious break, what with this being the home of the EU and having a reputation as being a quite… bureaucratic little spot. But Brussels has a lot more to it than that – after all, any city that gave birth to techno music and produces some of the world’s best and strongest beers definitely has a spicy side, if you take the time to find it…

Start to make an itinerary  when you book your flights to Brussels so that you get the most from your break and see as much as possible. Some of the ‘must-sees’ are the Grand Place and its incredible museums, the European Parliament building, the Atomium, the chocolate shops, the Cantillon Brewery, the comic book murals, and the Royal Toone Theatre.

Getting around Brussels

Brussels is very walkable, but if you want a break or the weather is cold, the public transport system here is excellent. Buses and trams are cheap, clean and always on time.

If you want to venture a little further afield or just like the idea of driving yourself, car hire is available for you from Brussels Airport, and it can be booked through Ryanair Car Hire

What to eat in Brussels

There is a serious amount of good food to be eaten in Brussels. Of course the city is famous for a few things – mussels, fries, waffles, speculoos, beer and chocolate. So if you are visiting Brussels while dieting, we can inform you now that things will get difficult for you. Our suggestion is: when you book your flights to Brussels, let your hair down and sample every delight Brussels has to offer.
