What to see in Paphos?

You might fly to Paphos for its beautiful beaches and year round warmth, but you shouldn’t miss out on the other wonderful attractions on offer in the city and its surroundings.

Paphos is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site in recognition of ancient attractions such as the Tomb of the Kings and the fragmented remains of a Byzantine-era castle, Saranta Kolones.

Take a stroll through history by visiting the Tombs of the Kings.  Dating back to 4th century BC, this large necropolis features underground tombs carved out of rock.

Check out Paphos Castle on the edge of the harbour which was originally built as a Byzantine fort to protect the port of Paphos. Or if you’d prefer to just relax and unwind by the beach, head to Coral Bay, a crescent-shaped  bay offering clear swimming waters, and boat rentals.

For something a little different, take a scenic drive to the Troodos Mountains where you’ll pass sleepy villages, olive groves, vineyards and woodland. Believe it or not, you can even ski here in the winter months.
