Rome Ciampino Closes For 9 Days In September

Ryanair, Europe’s only ultra-low cost airline, today (20 June) confirmed that Rome Ciampino Airport will close for 9 days in September (from Mon 24 Sept to Tues 2 Oct) for runway maintenance works. Ryanair will temporarily switch all of its Rome flights to Rome Fiumicino Airport during this 9 day period.
 
During this 9 day period, all Ryanair passengers should travel to and check-in at Rome’s Fiumicino Airport. Ryanair passengers arriving at Rome Fiumicino Airport will be able to avail of bus and taxi services directly to Rome city centre or to Ciampino Airport as they require. Ryanair sincerely apologises to all passengers affected by this 9 day closure of Rome Ciampino Airport.
 
Ryanair’s Robin Kiely said:
 
“Rome Ciampino Airport will close (for runway maintenance) for a 9 day period from (24 Sept to 2 Oct). During these 9 days, Ryanair will temporarily switch all its Rome flights to Rome Fiumicino Airport. Ryanair sincerely apologises to all passengers affected by this 9 day closure. Any information updates will be published on the Ryanair.com website as they become available.”
