Ryanair Calendar Girls Take YouTube by Storm2,500 Calendars snapped up as 100,000 View Video in First Week
Ryanair, the world’s favourite airline, announced today (17th Nov) that its campaign to defend the right of girls to take their clothes off for charity is once again taking YouTube by storm. Over 100,000 people have viewed the behind the scenes footage of the making of Ryanair’s 2010 Cabin Crew Charity Calendar in just 5 days.
The calendar, which was launched last week and will raise €110,000 for charity, has already attracted opposition from the usual list of boring women’s groups in Ireland and Spain and dotty UK MEP ‘Mean Mary’ Honeyball who has unfairly attacked Ryanair’s cabin crew charity partner, “KIDS”, for agreeing to receive the over €100,000 sales proceeds to help thousands of disabled children and their families.
Ryanair’s 2010 calendar can be bought online at www.ryanair.com and onboard its aircraft while “The making of the 2010 Ryanair Cabin Crew Charity Calendar” can be viewed on www.youtube.com.
Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said:
“Ryanair’s cabin crew stunners are flying high on Youtube with 100,000 people logging on to show their interest in and support for the Ryanair 2010 Cabin Crew Charity Calendar. We are delighted with the interest in the calendar and the widespread support for our campaign to defend the right of girls to take their clothes off for charity.
“What boring women’s groups and dotty MEP’s fail to acknowledge is that this calendar is a voluntary effort by our brilliant cabin crew and that the entire proceeds of each calendar will go directly to the “KIDS” charity. With 2,500 calendars already sold, we urge those who want to pick up a copy of this year’s hottest calendar to buy it from www.ryanair.com as soon as possible as the print run was strictly limited to 11,000.”
