Ryanair’s London Stansted Flights Unaffected As Unite/Gmb Strike Fails

Ryanair, Europe’s only ultra low cost airline, today (23 May) confirmed that all of its flights to/from London Stansted are unaffected by Unite/GMB strike action and calls on these unions to remove their strike threats for 26 & 27 May.

Ryanair will operate a full schedule of flights to/from London Stansted airport during any planned periods of disruption (from 05:30hrs 26 May until 05:30hrs 28 May) even if this blackmail action is taken by Unite/GMB. If the strike goes ahead Ryanair may not be able to accept checked in baggage on some or all flights, however, it will allow all passengers to use online check-in and travel with carry-on luggage only to ensure their travel plans are not disrupted.

Ryanair’s Stephen McNamara said:

“Ryanair is pleased that all of our London Stansted flights today are unaffected by Unite/GMB strikes and we call on these unions to remove their strike threats for this weekend so that passengers can be sure their travel plans will not be interrupted.”
