Can I take a child's car seat or additional postural support onboard the aircraft? |
|
In accordance with Ryanair Safety Regulations, car seats cannot be used on board the aircraft.
However, both the Crelling model 27 harness and the Crelling HSB1 Shoulder Braces are approved for use on Ryanair aircraft to provide additional postural support in addition to the standard aircraft safety belt. For safety reasons the existing aircraft seatbelt must always be worn as well as the harness to give a greater degree of restraint. The following requirements must be met in order to travel with a seat harness on a Ryanair flight:
Customers must pre-advise their intended use of the seat harness and model type to the Ryanair Special Assistance Line. A confirmation letter will be sent/emailed to the customer detailing the requirements for use of the harness onboard. This letter will need to be printed and presented along with the harness at the Ryanair Visa/Document Check desk or Bag Drop desk at the departure airports. Once the item and confirmation letter have been inspected to ensure compliance of our requirements the letter will be stamped ‘ok for travel’ and the passenger may then proceed with the item to the boarding gate.
