One of my family members has died and I don't want to travel. What can I do?

Should you be affected by a bereavement of an immediate member of your family within 14 days of your intended date of travel and you do not wish to travel, Ryanair will provide a full refund upon application. You will be required to submit a copy of the Death Certificate to our Customer Service Department at +353 1 8121676 with your refund request. Refund requests outside of 14 days of travel cannot be processed by the airline and should be forwarded to your travel insurance company for reimbursement.

If you have already started your journey and are affected by an immediate family bereavement please contact your local Ryanair reservation centre, who will work with you in making arrangements for your return journey.

For information, Ryanair considers the following family members as "immediate":
Spouse
Children
Adopted children
Parents
Brothers & Sisters (including step/half brothers and sisters)
Grandparents & Grandchildren
Father/Mother-in-law
Brother/Sister-in-law
Son/Daughter-in-law

Note: The same consideration will be given to the travel companion of the bereaved.
