The town of Växjö is located only 20 minutes from Växjö Airport and the town centre is connected with an airport shuttle service. Växjö offers good shopping opportunities and a lot of hotels in different categories. The environment has always been a mayor issue for the town and it is rewarded for being "The greenest town in Europe". The town hosts a lot of visitors every year that are eager to learn how the town has succeeded reduce the fossil carbon dioxide emissions by 30% since 1993. UEFA Women’s Euro 2013 10-28 July, Växjö

10-28th of July Sweden will host the 11th Women’s Euro and Växjö is one of seven proud host cities! Together with Kalmar, Växjö is responsible for Centre B with the national teams from Germany, The Netherlands, Iceland and Norway. By the way, Germany and Norway are – along with Sweden – the only countries that have won the European Championship since it started in 1984. Växjö will host three group stage matches and one quarterfinal:
  • 11 July: Germany – The Netherlands
  • 14 July: Iceland – Germany
  • 17 July: The Netherlands – Iceland
  • 21 July: Quarterfinal

Or will you spot him, biking or hiking, on one of the numerous trails to be explored in the nature?

The theme park entertains the youngest, as well as their parents, with their acts and songs.
