Stockholm/Västerås Airport is located approximately 5 Km from Västerås and 120 Km from Stockholm. There is no rail service but there is a bus service from outside the terminal building, journey time to Västerås is approximately 10 minutes and 75 minutes to Stockholm. It costs SEK 19 one way to Västerås and SEK 130 to Stockholm.

Icy Art or drinks- in Europe's capital of cool

The Icehotel has opened an ice art gallery in Gamla Stan, Stockholm's Old Town. Located in the lobby of the Nordic Sea Hotel, next to the Central Station, the Absolut Ice Bar has been in business for nearly two years. Everything in the bar, including the bar, is made of ice brought all the way from the Torne River in Swedish Lapland. Sip vodka on the rocks from specially made ice glasses and enjoy sculptures by some of the world's best ice artists, complete with spectacular lighting effects. Traditional Swedish delicacies are served on ice plates in temperatures of between minus 6 and minus 8 °C -. Warm clothing is provided!

Modern Museum

Following a two-year renovation, Moderna museet on Skeppsholmen will reopen on the 14th of February 2004. At the Moderna Museum there are exhibitions, a photography library, an information centre, a bookshop, and a restaurant/café. Workshop for adults and children. You can easily get there by the underground,stop Kungsträdgården, or by bus nr 65.

The Royal Palace and the Old town - in the original heart of Stockholm
