What is a Spanish Resident Discount?

DISCOUNT ELIGIBILITY- (Anexo I del Real Decreto 1316/2001)

A 50% Residents Discount is available for the following:

  • Residents registered in the Balearic/Canary Islands travelling between theirregion of residence and any other part of Spanish National Territories.
  • Residents registered in Ceuta travelling between Seville, Malaga or Jerez and any other part of Spanish National Territories.

Passengersrequesting the discount must be in possession of a Certificate of Residence issued by the Town Hall in which they reside, valid for the entire duration of the travel period, unless they have been validated electronically by the Ministerio de Fomento at the time your ticket was issued.

Members of Parliament and Senatemay prove their residency by presenting the corresponding Parliamentary Credentials, unlessthey have been validated electronically by the Ministerio de Fomento at the time your ticket was issued.

Passengers whohave not been validated during the issuing of the ticket, and to benefit from this subsidy, they will need to show at the check in desk/boarding gate the following valid documents:

  • Spanish Nationals: A valid Certificate of Residence and a Valid National Identity Card
  • Spanish Nationals under 14 years:  A valid Certificate of Residence
  • EU/EEA/ Swiss Nationals:  A valid Certificate of Residence and a valid National Identity Card issued by the countryof origin or a valid passport.
  • Family members of EU nationals: A valid Certificate of Residence along with thevalid residence card indicating his/her status of existing EU family member.
  • No-EU nationals holders of long-term residence permit: A valid Certificate of Residence along with thevalid residence card indicating his/her condition of long-term resident in force.

Passengers failing to produce the correct documentation in addition to the photo ID required for travel on Ryanair flights will be denied travel.

If a passenger in the booking is not a resident, they should make a separate booking.

This discount is not available on EXTRA SEATS.
