Fuerteventura Airport is located just 5 Kilometres from Puerto del Rosario, the island’s capital.

Getting there:

By car: The access to the airport from the road FV-1, taking the fork that takes you to a roundabout situated on the outskirts of the airport.

By bus: line 3: Puerto del Rosario – Aeropuerto - Caleta de Fuste - Las Salinas. Line 10: Puerto del Rosario – Airport - Morro Jable. Bus stop: in front of the terminal.

By taxi: taxi rank in front of the Arrivals hall. Average fares: Playa Jandía (€100), Corralejo (€45), Costa Calma (€73).

Betancuria

This historic municipality was founded in 1404. One of its best known features is its church, with its beautiful Baroque interior and intricate Mudéjar ceiling. Other places to visit are the San Diego chapel, the Convent Church, the Museum of Sacred Art and the Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum.

Mount Tindaya

The protected area of Mount Tindaya includes drawings by the island’s original inhabitants at the top of the mountain. The meaning of the drawings is most likely religious.

Fuerteventura Beaches

Fuerteventura’s golden sand and turquoise waters are two of their greatest attractions, promoting a feeling of freedom and infinity and inviting you to discover the island’s hideaways. The combination of the tranquillity and the breeze wafting on the endless beaches brings our dreams to life in a heavenly setting. The enormous dunes provide a majestic, silent show of the island’s atmosphere. Some of the many places to visit include El Cotillo, the Corralejo Dunes, and the beaches in Jandía and Gran Tarajal.

Oasis Park

Oasis Park is a spectacular outdoor location with more than 800,000 square metres given over to nature: an exotic garden that visitors will find simply surprising. You’ll discover more than 6,800 species of plants from all over the world on a colourful, leafy walk full of delightful nooks and crannies, natural shade and rest areas. Attractions include stealthy, motionless reptiles, spectacular aviaries, the giraffe balcony, the hippo pool and the leopard hill.

Diving

The magic and variety of the underwater world, either in deep waters or on the coast, are an invitation to dive on a unique sea floor. The 326 kilometres of coastline in Fuerteventura include many diving spots. Underwater enthusiasts are drawn to the clear waters, where they’ll find an enormous variety of seascapes inhabited by numerous marine species. The island’s many diving centres will give you all the advice you need.

Isla de Lobos - Lobos Island

The sea around Fuerteventura provides a great setting for long excursions and the discovery of faraway places such as Isla de Lobos. This small island of around 4.5 km² is northwest of Fuerteventura. Part of the Protected Park of the Corralejo Dunes, Isla de Lobos is an ideal spot for spectacular diving par excellence, as well as a bird protection area. A boat service has regular departures to Isla de Lobos from the port in Corralejo. Passengers can also enjoy spectacular views during the trip.

Morrojable Sub Cat

Discover the fantastic underwater world of Fuerteventura. Subcat is a true submarine capable of travelling both on and beneath the water. The excursion begins at the port of Morrojable, in the south of the island. The journey starts out on the sea, but before long the Subcat dives down to the depths. You’ll see an incredible underwater show of amazing, undiscovered seascapes dotted with the species that inhabit the depths of the sea.
