Beauty of Landscape
Sicily, with its most beautiful corners, the ancient stones, the rocks, the cliffs and the endless breathing of the tides, the woods, snow-capped Etna, the saltpans, the sunny heaps of stones, the fields, the vineyards...exactly all that makes Sicily.
Historical sites
Sicily presents a varied mix of civilizations: from Paleolithic influences evident in the caves and hilly areas, to traces of ancient Greek civilization in the form of the temples of Agrigento and Selinute and the Theaters of Siracusa and Segesta.
Castles
The Romans, Byzantine and Normans covered the island with a precious belt of castles to guard the valleys, and many of these can still be admired today.
Gardens
Due to the influence of the Arabs who taught exact sciences to the western world, Sicily is also famous for its harmonious balance of gardens and fountains.
Art and Culture
Sicily has been influenced by many cultures throughout history which have resulted in a rich legacy of art and culture, as was later discovered by great travelers: Goethe, Guy de Maupassant, john Newman, Leon Duofomy who came here as cultural pilgrims and left as enchanted lauders of the island, becoming, incidentally, its best promoters. Sicily is, a geographical location yet, more than ever a place of the soul. Our land i also a homeland of all the cultures of the world.
