Conkers - award winning family attraction dedicated to the natural world

This is the ideal place to enjoy, play and learn about the life in the British woodland. There are 100 indoor interactive exhibits together with 120 acres of trails, habitats and sculpture, all designed to involve and entertain the whole family. Indoors, children will enjoy the discovery zones, where they can feel a leaf breathe, touch a toad and even travel in woodland time machine! They will also be kept amused with the indoor adventure play area with tunnels, slides and towers. Outside, there are lakeside walks and nature and sculpture trails, with a narrow gauge train. There is so much to explore at Twinlakes with 80 acres of attractions. Situated near the bustling market town of Melton Mowbray, internationally famous for Stilton cheese and pork pies the park has been designed for every member of the family to have a great day out. Children will love the massive indoor venture centre packed with fun attractions such as the Shark Bite, the Black Cannon Express and The Master Blaster with sensational ball blasting cannons. Fun can also be had on the water zapping bumper boats, mini kartz and Prairie Pete's Wild West City with fantasy fun and interactive play. The Great Central Railway is Britain's only double track main line steam railway

Journey back into the glory days of the steam train with a nostalgic trip on the Great Central Railway. Train rides are available every weekend and Bank Holiday throughout the year and daily from May to September; visitors can even drive a steam train under expert supervision. There is also a museum, working signal box and an historic locomotion collection at the station in Loughborough. Passengers can also choose to dine in style and enjoy a sumptuous four or six course meal while travelling by steam train.
