Getting There

  • By Car: 
    From Friedrichshafen airport follow the signs to Bregenz- st.Margrethen and drive through Austria to Switzerland. Take the motorway to Landquart, then follow the signs to Vereina car train tunnel, which will take you to Sagliains, in Engadin. Alternatively you can drive on the Fluela pass (open in the summer only). Once in Engadin, reach Zernez and then follow the signs to Livigno, through the Munt la Schera Tunnel (with toll - watch out for opening times). Be aware that motorways in Austria and Switzerland must be paid in advance, by buying a special sticker (called "Vignette") at authorized shops and petrol stations. You can avoid the motorway in Austria by driving through Bregenz.


    From Bergamo airport follow the signs to Lecco. Then take the S.S. 36 towards Colico and the S.S. 38 (Statele dello Stevio e Valtellina) to Bormio. Next take the S.S. 301. It is also possible to pass through Switzerland via Forcola di Livigno Pass, but watch out for traffic restrictions in the winter.
