Surf in Sligo
The phrase ‘Blow away the cobwebs’ should conjure images of surfing at Easkey Beach in County Sligo. Tee Time in Mayo
Hats off to those golfers who have teed off at Mayo’s Carne Golf Links and not been so enchanted by the scenery that they shanked their ball into the rough. The final, and believed by many to be the best, course designed by master designer Eddie Hackett, Carne Golf links is an utterly unique test. The challenge is softened by views of the Atlantic and her islands that tip the scale towards heavenly.

Cruise the Shannon in Leitrim
The Shannon touches many counties in Ireland but it could be argued that it saved its prettiest stretch for County Leitrim. The eponymous town of Carrick-on-Shannon is a berthing hub and the beginning of a river journey for many that takes in vast swathes of Leitrim’s untouched landscape of low lying hills and lakelands. All to the soundtrack of a boat gently splitting the water. Lovely.
