Hohe Tauern

High alpine skiing pleasure on about 145 kilometres (90 miles) of pistes, and, due to its high location, the guarantee of snow until well into spring. Heiligenblut offers a unique experience of nature with the Großglockner and a further 29 peaks over 3,000 metres (9,842ft) in the immediate area. At the other end of the Hohe Tauern National Park are the Ankogel area, and the Möll Valley glacier, Austria's southernmost glacier.

  • By Train: 
    There is a service by train and bus. Train to Spittal/Millstätter See, change there for the bus service to Winklern/Heiligenblut. Journey time is approx. 4 hours
