The museum of Reggio Calabria is a must for all visitors to this region not only because of the many artefacts from the Magna Grecia but above all to get a glance at the famous "Bronzi di Riace" ( two bronze male statues found just off the coast of Riace in 1972). On the Ionian coast you have an example of Byzantine architecture "La Cattolica" of Stilo from the 10th century. In Crotone you can visit the Aragonese Fort built in the 1400\'s or why not visit Taverna to enjoy the works of the well known Mattia Preti (1600).
