Malmö Airport is located 30 km from Malmö and a bit further from Lund. Take either the E65 highway from/to Malmö or highway 108 from/to Lund and follow the signs as you approach your destination. Malmö Airport may be reached by bus operated by the Airport Coaches from Malmö and Lund as well as Gråhundbus operated from the Central Trainstation in Copenhagen, taxi, rental car or car where the airport features 3400 parking spots in different price categories. Take the opportunity to go shopping or have a bite to eat before your flight. At the airport, you will find restaurants, bars, convenience stores and fast food, duty- and tax-free goods and much more. You can also work, study, keep in touch with friends and family or plan your next trip by using the Internet at Malmö Airport − you can either use one of our Internet stations (Sidewalk Express) or use your own laptop and connect to our wireless local area network (WiFi).

Malmö Airport was also the first airport in Sweden to install a solar heating facility featuring vacuum tubes. Since 2007, Malmö Airport has worked with bees and their honey as indicators of air quality. Bees only live in places with good air quality and they don’t like noisy environments – today Malmö Airport has two bee colonies at either end of the runway which produce excellent honey, approved by the Swedish National Food Administration.

Malmö - city and beach life
In Malmö the beach is right in the middle of town. There is plenty of water in Malmö, so enjoy! Take a bath dip in the ocean or the beautiful bathhouse, go for a paddle in the canals or sail in the shadow of the Öresund Bridge. Ribersborg beach, commonly known as Ribban, is a huge recreational area situated within walking distance of the centre of Malmö. In the 1920s, what was originally extensive marshland stretching down to Öresund was transformed into a lovely sandy beach and a green area, home to trees, ponds, lawns and several football and rugby fields. Only a few minutes walk from the main train station, you will find the "main square", Stortorget and the square's smaller neighbour Lilla Torg (the Little Square). Lilla Torg is famous among other things for its outdoor cafés and bars in the summertime, and is a perfect starting point from which to discover the old town encircled by the city's canals, as well as the exciting town centre for shopping, entertainment and over 300 cafés and restaurants. Distances are short and large department stores and small, fashionable boutiques can all be found within easy walking distance of each other. The main shopping area runs from Stortorget and Lilla Torg, through Södergatan, via Gustav Adolfs Torg (Gustav Adolf's Square), continuing southwards along Södra Förstadsgatan, to Triangeln and on. Most of this area is pedestrianised, so you can enjoy your shopping without having to contend with traffic, and appreciate everything on offer.Shopping Malmö-style!
