What is Ryanair's Boarding Procedure?

Ryanair operates an unassigned seating policy, so specific seats cannot be pre-booked. However, we operate a Priority Boarding system which allows you to choose your own seat on board. For safety reasons emergency exit seats can be occupied only by able-bodied passengers.

  1. Priority boarding passengers will be boarded onto the aircraft first.

  2. Followed by all other passengers who have not purchased priority boarding.

  3. Reduced mobility/vision impaired passengers who have pre-advised Ryanair of their condition will be boarded after general boarding is completed, seats will be reserved onboard.

You should be at the boarding gate at least 30 minutes prior to departure. Boarding closes 20 minutes prior to departure. Your valid travel document and boarding pass must be produced at the boarding gate.

Irrespective of a passenger's visa requirements, all non EU/EEA citizens must have their travel documents checked and online boarding pass stamped at the Ryanair Visa/Document Check Desk before going through airport security

Passengers arriving late at the boarding gate will not be accepted for travel. For travel on a later flight, you will be required to purchase a new ticket at the applicable fare
