Getting to London Stansted Airport
London Stansted Airport (STN) is located 68km to the north-east of London, and it’s one of the busiest airports in the UK. As such, it’s served well by public transport – the Stansted Express train is the quickest way to get in and out of Central London; travel time from the city centre (Liverpool Street) is just over 45 minutes.

Barcelona airport is quite close to the city, located just 14km away in El Prat de Llobregat to the south west of the city. It’s Spain’s second biggest airport, handling around 40 million passengers every year.

Getting from Barcelona Airport to Barcelona
There are several types of transport available to you between Barcelona Airport and the city, including taxis, bus, metro and a train service.
The train service is cheap and regular, with a 20-25 minute journey time. Trains depart from Terminal 2 every 30 minutes, between 5:40am and 11:40 pm (check the timetable before you travel).
Taxis cost around €30 (taxis are metered and this can vary), and will take about 30 minutes to reach Barcelona city centre. The airport taxi ranks are well signposted as you leave the terminal.
The Aerobus is a fast shuttle service that will take you to Placa de Catalunya in about half an hour. Tickets cost €5.90 one way and buses leave every 5/10 minutes).
