  1. Use the phrase, “yo soy vegano/a” = I am vegan.
  2.  Remember siesta and be prepared! Most things will close from 2-5pm daily so head to one of the city’s  many    health food stores to make sure you’ve got plenty of snacks to keep you going.

This restaurant is an advocate of the Menu del Dia (Menu of the Day) whereby three courses are offered at a set price. With plenty of vegan options such as the Porra soup and beetroot pesto pasta, and a very pleasant price tag, this place will become your dinner go-to! 

2. Raw Attitude – Calle Tomas Heredia 19

Next on the vegan guide to Malaga, visit Raw Attitude. Juice bar and home to the Insta-famous Buddha bowl, this café and bio-shop is the perfect grab and go to fuel your sightseeing. Head for brunch on a Saturday where they serve vegan pancakes until 2:30pm.

Been missing out on trying the traditional delicacies of the region? Not at this café! Here you can taste Spain with their very own vegan chorizo. If you’re in the mood for sweets make sure to also try their chocolate peanut butter cake. 

4. Monte Culebra – Calle San Juan de Letran

Easily missed, this little hole in the wall is home to the best vegan hotdog in Malaga. With their unusual, creative toppings such as peanuts and vegan mayo, this little place is a must on your list of plant based eats. They even offer two options of sausage made from either cumin or paprika! 

5. Julia Bakery – Calle Carreteria 44

Searching for a place to eat breakfast? Look no further than the sweet doors of Julia Bakery. Serving supposedly the best coffee in Spain, this café also does vegan scones, bagels and cakes galore. Take a seat and relax after a night on the town or grab a pastry for the road.

If you’re a fan of cards, board games and American style junk food, then this one is made for you. Dishing up diner-style cuisine such as McCartney burgers, nachos and vegan chilli, this spot will keep you fed and entertained for hours. 

7. Nic Pic – Calle San Juan de Letran

Located on the ground floor of boutique hostel, Picnic Dreams, this restaurant is a winner as it’s open all day. Demolish a cheeseburger or devour a vegan cheese plate. Yes, you read it right, this place offers a full cheese plate filled with everyone’s favourites as vegan alternatives. All produce is homemade and locally sourced making it the perfect spot to indulge!

An Instagrammer’s dream, this coffee house is aesthetic goals. With loads of vegan options to choose from such as their vegan pizza, this one makes eating out in Malaga worth it. Open all day, it’s the perfect spot for a well-earned pit stop after a morning of wandering or to quickly grab a juice.
