With its colourful fishing harbour and local French charm, stunning Sainte Maxime offers a less glitzy, more accessible alternative to its French Rivera neighbours.
Located in the heart of the Côte d’Azur, just north of Saint Tropez, this small coastal town boasts 11 km of gorgeous Mediterranean shoreline, a bustling marina, and a cobblestoned old town worthy of getting lost in.
The setting alone is enough to spark love but if you are more of an active couple (like us), and like to bond over experiences, there are literally hundreds of activities around or in the city to take part in.

Founded in 1996, the wines at Domaine de Tropez are a blend of different parcels of AOC Côtes de Provence.

Directly across Saint Maxime is flashy sister San Tropez with its flesh coloured buildings and jaw dropping superyachts drifting in and out of the marina.
Rub shoulders with celebrities by taking an excursion operated by the famous green-hulled ships of Les Bateaux Verts, who began their passage between the two cities in 1961.
Enjoy the traditional daily menu at local favourite Café de Lices, visit the Annonciade art museum or wander the narrow, shop-filled streets with the world’s most exclusive brands.
There are a number of ways to enjoy the many beaches of Saint Maxime but one of the most adventurous options is to go parasailing. Fly high to new heights (let me warn you- they get you up there) and get a bird’s eye view of the spectacular surroundings.
