2. Pogo Urban Café – Hlavna 102/43

Catch Kosice bloggers working on their next post in the co-working area and listen to musicians rehearsing in the performance room whilst sipping on a perfectly made cappuccino. The second floor location of this place makes it the ideal spot for watching people pass by on the street below. 4. Nase Bistro – Zriedlova 8

Tucked down an alleyway next to Kulturpark, Nase Bistro provides a cute escape from the hustle and bustle of the street outside. Choose a brew from the many creations listed on the floor to ceiling blackboard as you stand at the counter and cosy up into a corner table to escape reality for a while. 5. Ranajkaren Rozpravka – Hrnciarska 17

Making its home on the historical Craft Lane, this fairy tale themed café will transport you to another world. In the entrance you’re greeted by creatures hanging from the ceiling resembling all your favourite characters and furniture that replicates the ambiance of Grimm’s storybook. The deceivingly large space opens up into two rooms full of tables made from old Singer sewing machines and rustic white wooden chairs. The walls are covered with makeshift bookshelves made from old drawers and suitcases filled with tattered novels adding to the old fashioned, childlike atmosphere that runs through the place. Choose a good story, settle into one of the armchairs and lose all sense of time. Embrace the magic and indulge your inner seven year old at Ranajkaren Rozpravka. 

One for the road: Take It Coffee – Postova 466/7

With so much to see in so little time, Take It Coffee is the perfect place to grab a coffee to go when you’re in need of a quick caffeine fix. The small shop is nestled down an alley close to UL’UV, the centre for folk art production, and has a cosy feel with a few window seats if you do fancy stopping in for a while.
