Opened in 2007, the pastries and sandwiches on offer here look almost too good to eat. Queen of the cupcake, this little hideaway is located in via Puccini and is the place to go for elaborately decorated options with all your favourite toppings. If you’re in the mood for something more savoury, the bagels here are world-class and are made with black bread. Home to the best meringue in the country, Caffe Tramer knows how to satisfy a sugar craving or two. Dripping in history, the old school eatery oozes charm with its rustic dark wood cabinets and cosy standing-only shop floor. Part of the city since the 1800s, the interiors emulate the grandeur of its speciality dessert with a huge chandelier and floor to ceiling glass windows. Pretty much unchanged in all the years it has been open, no trip to Cagliari is complete without a trip here to try the famous meringue sandwiched together with a light white cream.
