Lying in the heart of the medieval citadel, an ancient townhouse awaits your arrival. Marco Polo Mansion is the perfect spot for your Old Town selfie. The next spot requires some cardio activity but what you get at the top is well worth the sweat. Sitting above the modern town of Lindos, the ancient Acropolis is one of the most spectacular viewing points in Rhodes. After venturing up the steep footpath, you can expect to be met with a clifftop enclosed by battlement ruins, as well as the remains of a temple and a 20 columned covered portico. Set up your selfie as the sun hits off the white columns creating a cool contrast between it and the blue of the sky. Walk to the edge and capture the panoramic views of the glistening ocean and inviting coastline.
This one involves taking a day trip out to the picturesque island of Symi, just a two hour ferry ride away from Rhodes. Venture further than the harbour and explore the beautiful beaches but not without snapping a selfie first. The unique point of the harbour is the neoclassical mansions in every shade of pastel you can imagine, making it the prettiest port in Greece. The abundance of expensive looking yachts and sail boats moored there don’t make for a bad photo either!
Situated on the northwest coast of the island, the ancient city of Kameiros is the next best place to get your Rhodes, Greece photos. Travel three kilometres west of the village of Kalavarda for stunning views of the Aegean and a chance to really take a step back through time. Only a 25 minute drive from Rhodes town, the tranquil spot can be reached via a stairway from the roadside.
Another one for the hiking boots, the Monastery of Tsambika sits atop 350 steep steps but its long-range viewing points are second to none. On reaching the top of the hill you will be met by a tiny white Byzantine church and views of the coastline. Legend has it that women facing fertility difficulties climbed to the church to pray to the Virgin for help with conceiving, something that it still done today.
