Located in the heart of the city, Kurna Chata boasts the atmosphere of an old Polish cottage with a menu to match. Serving breakfast from 7 am, this cool traditional restaurant has all your favourites including scrambled eggs and bacon, as well as local dishes including their zupy w chlebie soup and house pierogi. Decked out in rustic wooden interiors, this is one of the best value for money places in the city making it an absolute must when visiting Wroclaw. 

2. Central Café – 10 Swietego Antoniego

The smell of freshly brewed coffee and baked bread will hit you before you’ve spotted the next location on the list of Wroclaw’s best brunch spots. If you have a sweet tooth, you’re in for a real treat at Central Café. A bright, modern space, the restaurant offers a variety of fruit pancakes, porridge, homemade cakes, cupcakes and waffle cookies for you to indulge in. For a more savoury breakfast, opt for one of their specialty bagels with toppings of your choice. Fitted with glass decorations, high stools and handwritten menus, the ambiance in here will make you want to stay sipping coffee all day.

An Instagrammer’s paradise, Nanan is potentially the most aesthetic café in the whole of Poland. Covered head to toe in pink velour plush walls with pink marble tables to match, every inch of this patisserie is worth capturing. Attracting bloggers from across the globe, the café is co-founded by pastry chef and food blogger, Justyna Kawiak and offers an extensive collection of cakes almost too pretty to eat. Tuck into meringues, macarons, eclairs and cute mini-cakes and wash it all down with an expertly made cup of coffee. In no way placing style before substance, the delicately crafted pastries match the visually-pleasing interiors to a tee.

4. Gniazdo – 36 Swidnicka

This sleek, cool café in the centre of town is heaven on earth for the coffee lovers among us. Offering up an array of teas and some of the best coffee in the city, the shop also has an amazing selection of cakes, bagels and sharing platters. With a friendly atmosphere and knowledgeable staff you could spend hours chatting all things coffee in the industrial-esque space with its white brick walls and tiled floors. If not for the pistachio cheesecake alone, make sure to add this one to your list of where to eat brunch in Wroclaw. 

5. Bulka z Maslem – 8A Pawla Wlodkowica

Sitting in the heart of the Old Town, Bulka z Maslem has got the hipster seal of approval and we can see why. Kitted out in quirky, mismatch interiors with a romantic patio outside, sip on tea while you watch the world go by on the nearby Promenada. Acting as a casual restaurant, cosy cafes and cool afterhours hangout, there’s little ‘A Piece of Cake’ can’t do. Come here for affordable eats, mocktails, drinks serving in glass jars and a chilled out atmosphere to rest after a hectic day of seeing the sights. 

6. Di Café – 95 Powstancow Slaskich

A stone’s through away from its well-renowned sister, Dinette, Di Café is located in the Sky Tower shopping mall and offers a menu of all day breakfast. Well worth a short tram ride from the centre of the city, feast on all American-style classics as well as frittatas, omelettes and waffles and take home a slice of bread to snack on later. The menu is in polish but with a friendly set of helpful staff, you’ll be able to choose whatever takes your fancy. A sight for sore eyes, after eating, head up to the 49th floor viewing point for incredible panoramas over the city.
