We recently contacted some of our customers to find out a little bit about what they liked most about their last family holidays. We got some brilliant trip reviews, and it genuinely gave us the warm ‘n fuzzy feels to go through all the entries, and read about so many people flying off to the sun to have a great time!
So we thought we’d bring you some of the ones we really liked, in case you’re thinking about your summer holidays already and could do with a little inspiration…
We had so much fun – memories to treasure. A day out on the catamaran was the best thing we did… unlimited free drinks, a delicious hot dinner, a ride on the jet-ski and snorkelling – all included. Best day ever!
We loved Aqualand Water Park too, and each evening having a massive variety of restaurants to chose from. The kids loved those hot crepes you could get from vendors on the strip. The shopping’s great… must mention our trip to the market at Teguise. So many bargains & no hassle! The people are just so friendly and we as a family have fallen in absolute love with the place!
The trip on The catamaran was a real highlight though. Food, drinks, jet-ski and snorkelling all included in one payment, and the pirates who hosted us were so much fun!

Alcudia Majorca was amazing for a real fun family holiday. Hiring a car was a brilliant move, and meant that we could escape the noise and excitement of the resort sometimes and find some beautiful coastline spots for a little tranquility. Alcudia is quick and easy to get to with short flight times and the place has everything you could possibly need. It was really a great family holiday.
The best I advice I have is that you take time out to pay a visit to the old Alcudia town where you can enjoy the markets, explore some of the history of the island, and enjoy a coffee at the tavernas. I don’t need to tell you to visit the beach – amazing shallow sea with golden sands, totally safe. Head down to the Marina too, to take a look at the boats!

Valencia is brilliant for families; our four kids range from 7 to 1
6 so we have to take teenagers and younger kids into account when we book a holiday, and Valencia ticked all the boxes for us. The weather is fantastic, and you get a city break and a beach holiday combined – two for the price of one! We hired a car, and went to some of the beaches close to the city which are lovely, as well as the nature parks. We had the best paella I’ve ever eaten in Levante restaurant – I’d never had rabbit before but it was beautiful!
My advice for a family holiday in Valencia is make sure to leave at least half a day to visit the City of Arts and Sciences, it’s just an incredible place. The other things I’d say, even though it’s not just about Valencia, is if you want all the family together on the plane just reserve your seats because it’s a hassle trying to get people to swap when you’re on the plane.
Although our 16 year old was delighted to not be sitting with us, his little sister wasn’t as happy!

Stayed in a small town at the foot of the Picos du Europa – it’s great for the beach, and so close to the beautiful mountains! There’s loads to do and it’s perfect if you like to be active. Hillwalking, cycling, swimming… and a canoe trip down the river Sella is not to be missed. If it’s activities you want – Asturias is the place.
There’s also great food amd loads of lovely restaurants, or you can kick-back on the beach with a picnic if you want to relax. There’s something for everyone and it makes such a fantastic family destination!
The advise I’d give anyone going? Cycling down the Ruta Del Oso (basically if you can ride a bike you can do it) and canoeing down the river Sella really are not to be missed!

Girona is so great for families; you are close to the beach and mountains, and in a city full of things to do for adults and children.
You can enjoy strolling the old part of the city while eating an ice cream from the chefs behind the best restaurant in the world. Great activities can be done like renting bikes and go along the old railway, or visiting the famous water parks less than 30 minutes away in Lloret de mar.
It is a great location to have great things to do visit museums and old areas or relax in the beach. Girona is also in easy reach from the mountains. It is really a great location that we certainty will repeat again!

Our family was vacationing in the Maspalamos. This is a wonderful place! Maspalomas has 400 hectares of dramatic sand dunes, which have been designated a natural park. The dunes are a natural habitat for many different species of rare plants, which manage to survive the dry arid landscape. You can cross the dunes by foot.
The area of Maspalomas beach is excellent for families with children, with lots of facilities available including water sports, showers, beach bars, restaurants and shops.
Aqualand Maspalomas, is the island’s largest water park and a great day out for the family. We also visited Palomitos Park, an ornithological park.
Gran Canaria is a wonderful holiday destination and there is much more to this holiday resort than sun, sea and sand. A visit to Gran Canaria is a must for you and your family.

Busot is a small town between Alicante and Benidorm. We stayed in a holiday apartment with access to an excellent quiet swimming pool which was lovely and well kept. We travelled down to the beach at El Campello a lot, and the kids loved it – as well as the Fiesta and shows they put on in the evening. The fireworks display was out of this world and the kids were so excited watching it, it was a real highlight. The local community in El Campello put a lot of work into their local events and it shows.
We usually travel to busy resorts but we all enjoyed to see something different – we’ve booked up again for Easter!
We visited the Busot caves too, which was lovely to see. It’s a tourist attraction at the top of the mountains. It’s a must see.
