Getting to Glasgow Airport

Travelling from the centre of Glasgow to Glasgow airport? You’ll find a range of public transport and private transfers available. If you’re taking the train, the journey time from Glasgow Central Station to Paisley Street Station (the closest station to Glasgow Airport) takes around 45 minutes. Taxis and the 757 bus link Paisley Gilmour Street station to Glasgow Airport. 

For the speediest transfer to the airport, take the Glasgow Airport Express which departs every 10 minutes from Buchanan Station and takes just 25 minutes.  The service runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Tickets can be purchased online or on the bus. 

If driving, the airport is a 20-minute drive from central Glasgow via the M8.

Glasgow airport is located around 13km to the west of central Glasgow and is one of Scotland’s busiest airports. Ryanair flights depart and land at Terminal 2, which is located to the east side of the main terminal.

Taxis, buses and private transfers connect the airport to the island’s major resorts. The journey from Los Cristianos takes 20 – 30 minutes, while the journey from Playa de las Americas takes around 25-35 minutes.
