London Stansted Airport 

London Stansted Airport (ATN) is based in the Uttlesford district in Essex, which is just outside London. Getting to the airport from London City Centre is simple. By train, from Liverpool Street Station takes 45 minutes and costs around £17. If you’re travelling by car, the journey takes 56 minutes and Stansted airport offers short to long term parking – book online for the best savings.

London Stansted Airport (ATN) is one of the busiest airports in London, offering flights to Dublin, Barcelona, Milan and of course, cheap flights to Rome from London.

Passengers from all over the world travel through Stansted airport each year and with so many shops and cafes to choose from, there is something for everyone.

What to expect on arrival in Rome

Located 15km away from Rome’s City Centre, Rome Ciampino International Airport (CIA) connects to the city through a variety of transport. 

If you’d rather avoid long lines, waits for public transport and hauling your luggage with you, be sure to book a car with Ryanair Car Hire to skip the hassle and  can see more of Rome on your time. Travelling by car to the city centre generally takes 45 minutes. 

The quickest route by public transport to Rome is by Terravision shuttle bus, this service drops passengers to Termini station in roughly 40 minutes. A one-way ticket from the station costs €6.

Regional trains operate from Ciampino town - to access this service you will need to get a bus from the airport. This is a relatively cheap and quick way to travel to Termini station. Bus fare to the train station costs around €1.20 and a train ticket is €1.50.

Taxis to the city centre have a fixed rate of €30 and can accommodate up to four passengers – expect to arrive in the city centre in around 45 minutes.

There is a Roman saying "Even a lifetime isn't enough to see Rome." This is accurate, there is so much to see, taste and hear, but you can at least make an attempt at seeing some of this amazing city by booking flights from London to Rome.

Be sure to see at least one of Rome’s many historic attractions: Colosseum, Trevi Fountain or St. Peter’s Basilica.
